NaNoWriMo

Just a quick, quick check-in to say...I did it. I took the NaNoWriMo challenge.

Emails of exhortation and nagging, or comments of similar purpose, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to Lakshmi, it looks like I might get Internet at the end of the month, too, which would resume our regular schedule.

Until then, bug me a lot to get my shit done, ok? OK. And bug CDHSarah too, she's on board.

You can write longhand. No excuses!

I can't get my word count until tomorrow night, so I have to work like a mad demon between now and then and hope like hell it's about 5,000 words.

In other news, the Judge may be getting me a new tower, because to add to my life crises, my 3.5 floppy drive is FUBAR.

Also, I need you to get your hubby to call me and tell me where Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel match up with the cardinal directions (north, south, east, west). I'm leaving him a voice mail as I type, but you know how effective that is. If my number is still AWOL, have him check the voice mail and get it from there.

Your favorite NaNobuddy,
the parce (super secret squirrel)

12,774 words in 4 days.

I can't say I'm not a little proud of myself.

Of course, the next two days are ten-and-eleven hour days for me, so let's see what I get done by the end of the weekend...

Padruig took care of it. (I thought I needed 777 too, but then I rememberedthat you're supposed to do as little research as possible and just make it up and fix it later. So I did.

However, my NaNoWriMo name is, of course, parcequilfaut.

Not really, but I did (temporarily) use HIS name for the name of the character who went halfway batshit from reading the wrong books.

15,774 as of day before yesterday, girl. Where you at?

Clever allusion, there.
